Is this the point when people quit playing this game? (rant-ish)
I never thought I'd ever use the forums but here we are. These are my thoughts, just write normally if you disagree with me instead of burning me alive on a stake, thanks!
I've been playing League for more than 5 years now and meanwhile I still have the urge to play the game, yet after a few matches I just feel straight sh**. No doubt the game requires changes, but it feels like it is absolutely not the game I used to like so much a while ago. I still fiercely remember the mad builds and combos I've built up with others, now unless you're a metaslave you're done for. AP Sejuani? Nope, ratios down. Wombo combo? We barely even have viable AoE champs at this point. The problems I think exist and simply don't seem to get fixed :

Higher toxicity Even though we have the honor system, after one death there's approx. 60% chance that someone will caps-lock flame the hell out of the other. Almost every second day now I get the "player has been penalized" response but to no avail, nothing is changing. Now the only thing I can do is muting, but isn't the game supposed to be about teamplay and strategies? Of course there are pings but the most common ping is the Enemy missing - "wtf are you doing". Any other ping is usually ignored, I don't even try to alert my laner if the enemy jungler is about to gank them, they'll just flame if they die, the only option is to countergank. Riot should step up at this point and penalize harder because the honor system simply won't do it, players recognize short-term punishments/rewarding, this long-term system is not working really.

Roles are almost non-existent When I've started playing the main source of joy came from completing my assigned role's job (saving my ADC as a support, tanking their ADC while my team is doing its job etc.) If you look at higher scenes now everything is either instakill/unkillable juggernauts again. As soon as an ADC would step up to kill a tank even the damned tank instakills them in one combo, while the support just keep scratching their head because their AD is gone, so now even the supports are half of the time damage supports. I literally haven't seen any Thresh/Alistar this season, coincidence?

Rune system, impossible comebacks Most of the matches I play get decided by the 7th minute, after ~13 minutes we have no control over the map, we surrender with about 70% chance at 20, while they're already hitting our nexus. I understand that on higher ranks snowballing becomes more obvious, but I doubt it should be this strong. A current change was the higher shutdown gold but it won't weaken the enemy champion, and getting a shutdown gold against a competent team usually means half of your team dying. Rune systems also aid this point, as there are numerous champions which could re-build themselves during the game according to the matches current tide. Right now you have to decide at the champ select how will you imagine your game, if it doesn't go as you've imagined go next (again)

Too many champions and changes This is not only a casual-level problem, even pros complain about the constant changes which they can't adopt to, as the core of the game gets changed every single month, it feels like mid-season magic became a monthly fashion. Changing for the sake of changes is absolutely pointless, especially without the playerbase getting used to the changes. When did this become an actual trend here? If I'd like to have +50% winrate in ranked games I'll have to look up at least 5 different sources about a certain champion, and I won't even know anything about the other 9. One trick ponies profit from this definitely, but those who enjoy filling (me as well) are absolutely behind OTPs now, even more. There's no need to adapt to a composition if there are no comps at all. [I'm aware of the fact that this part could go to the role problems]
I sincerely hope riot will bring back League to it's original state, what the game was all about for so long, but as things are going right now they are only thinking about the 142nd champion's kit. Indeed they did bad changes in the past but it was all for the sake of balancing. I wouldn't like to abandon League after so long but the definition of game is an activity which you enjoy doing, playing it. It's everything but that right now.
