Why Tyrndamere's ulti needs to be reworked or nerfed

the fact is, there are some ultimates in this game that people complain about a lot, but usually it is because they hate the low skillcap usage said ultimate has. however, tyrnd's ulti is complained about that and for one simple fact: it has literally no counter-play. it is game-breaking and in some cases, he will win a game because of it. One example, ( the reason i am actually posting this), of a game I played recently. Now normally, whoever wins lane and can transfer that advantage to other lanes will generally win the game. however, in this match-up early game had both me in the jungle do really well and have the miss fortune go 4/0/4 in lane. the tyrnd went 3/0/0. not too different, but mid lane was in their favor. however neither me or MF combined could even stand up to tyrnd at any point, even when we had more gold, not because we were not able to get him to 1 hp well before he does so to us, but because he can walk up to her and kill her, then walk away with 1 hp every time. so please riot, do something to this goddamn ulti; it just destroys how the game will work for any match he is in.

His ability to fight other champions isn't the issue as there are ways to prevent him from being able to murder your allies. The real issue is that his ult means he gets a free, unpreventable tower kill every time his ult is up, which is about 60 seconds with no CDR. It does need removed, but not for the reasons you've described.

i had a game where the enemy team was like wait guys we should push instead of get baron but trynd was like nanan i can do it myself and they said "dont you need minions for that?" to which he responded "what are minions" then he went and 1 v 1'd our inhib turret

Yeah it's easy to deal with trynd's ult in a 5 v 5 scenario unless you have a team comp with very little cc. It's almost impossible to deal with it in a 1 v 1 scenario, as he'll eventually reach a point where he can just take any tower during the duration of his ult. If you have enough cc to stop him killing your tower, you probably don't have the 1 v 1 power to fight him off, and he can always build item 3140 .

Yes, tryndamere's ult needs to be reworked completely into something totally different. People quit league because of it.

This thread is a perfect example of why people make fun of the gameplay section.

Trynd isn't even very good right now. He is hard countered by CC (you know - that thing Riot continuously overloads new champions with). Hell you can pick Tahm Kench and eat him for the entire duration of his ult, turning tryndamere into a walking bag of 300 G for your team. You can pick anybody else with CC and then just walk away from him. RNG is about the only reasonable complaint against him and I think it's pretty clear Riot has no intention of removing crit chance RNG from the game based on all those adc buffs this season.

How every game with Trynd goes:

We take him down to 1 HP. He ults and we get decimated by the team. "Surely just one more second," we tell ourselves. "He has no HP, just wait for his ult to go down and we'll back off." One by one we get killed off. "Well now we have to make up for it, just a second longer, I used my shields and potions, I can't get away anymore, just one auto-attack---"

And then he heals from it.

Why in the world does it last so long?

Fixed the title for you. Overpowered or not, it is baffling how Tryndamere is allowed to exist in his current state. He violates every single balancing guideline Riot has. RNG, hidden power, punishing players for doing well, toxic game pattern... name it, Trynd has it.

Tryndamere himself needs a rework. He has a poorly designed kit that offers no real counterplay and there isn't much of a way he can outplay you either. His kit is binary, boring, and toxic, his ultimate is probably the most part of his kit but still the rest of it like his 35% crit chance at level 1 is just so annoying. The champion requires the opposite of skill to play succesfully because as long as he's lucky and gets off a crit or two he can dominate the game and snowball.
