Malzahar Voidling Item Interactions

I've played Malzahar for almost as long as I've played league. I'm really enjoying bringing him into the jungle, but I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to maximize my efficiency with item passives. Those dang Voidlings have me stumped, and I'm almost tempted to spend far too long in a custom game figuring out every item interaction. So before I get that desperate I wanted to ask the community, is there anywhere I can find out WHICH on-hit/on-cast interactions voidlings trigger?? Thanks much!!
