Malzahar Voidling Item Interactions

I've played Malzahar for almost as long as I've played league. I'm really enjoying bringing him into the jungle, but I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to maximize my efficiency with item passives. Those dang Voidlings have me stumped, and I'm almost tempted to spend far too long in a custom game figuring out every item interaction. So before I get that desperate I wanted to ask the community, is there anywhere I can find out WHICH on-hit/on-cast interactions voidlings trigger?? Thanks much!!

The only ones they trigger are the healing from gunblade and deaths dance, cleaver passive, and rylais

That's it?? So Guinsoo's passive, skirmisher's smite, etc. won't proc??

No. Malzahar's voidlings are pets, which don't proc on-hit effects. No pets do.

No. Literally just said they won't.

^ it does indeed. Pets generally trigger spell effects. Do his voidlings still do physical damage? If so, then black cleaver also procs on pets.
