Ekko has gone too far

Ekko has been recieving quite a few buffs over these past few patches, though he was already fairly strong. Ekko has gotten to the point where he is viable for almost every lane. In the mid lane he can outshove a xerath player, and is a better assasin than even fizz. The stun ball he throws also has a glitched where it does not always shows the visual effect for the ability so you can get stunned for more than 2 seconds without even seeing what hit you, but do not worry. By the time those 2 seconds are up he has already killed you. He has quite good mana sustain because he can put a wave down to half with one q, and poke around from there. The roam potential is incredible, and effective! Regardless of what causes him to get ahead, and boy will he, with such a short ultimate timer he is impossible to kill even when hit by a cc train.

Ekko, stronger assassin than Fizz? Are you that badly innumerate?

Ekko doesn't even come online until he gets protobelt. His early laning is atrocious and he loses most trades against assassins and artillery mages.

Try playing Ekko into a half decent Ahri, Xerath, Velkoz or Azir.

I don't believe this is Ekko's fault, try the development team's fault if you having problems with him, Ekko didn't change his own stats..

I think they should lower the base healing from ult or nerf it’s cool down at level 6/11, make it scale more with ap. Building full tank and still being able to assassinate and heal after going in is unhealthy. I remember how broken full tank Ekko was, never again.

I don't mind if it scaled to be longer CC, but starting out at 2+ seconds is heavy. They wanted to push Ekko jungle from fringe to a real pick, and have another real counter to Syndra being back in pro meta.

But they could have literally just added it stuns monsters for 50% longer and given him like 2 more Magic Resist, and he would have hit the mark on both counts.

The buff has seemed to have a strong effect on him. 51% winrate right now. They might tune it down a bit.

Ekko isn't a stronger assassin than Fizz. Ekko has the lowest DPS and burst of every assassin. When in lane, the only things he can reliably do are push the wave, trade into the enemy, and stay safe. CCing him after he E's onto you and poking him when he tries to push are surefire methods to net positive trades against him. There's very clear counterplay. Pre-6, he essentially has 2 abilities in lane against any competent opponent.
