Pre-6 ganking Elise vs Post-6 ganking Evelynn....

I'm not saying that Evelynn can't gank pre-6, but it's not hard to see how Elise is the stronger ganker pre-6.

So my question is, in what situation would it be worth it to sacrifice the more reliable mid / lategame winrate of Evelynn (overall Evelynn is about +5% higher winrate than Elise in Diamond+), and go for the early game ganking power of Elise? I guess my question is... assuming you can see most of the enemy team's composition before your turn to pick, what kind of enemy team composition would make you want to DEFINITELY go for early ganking power and pick Elise instead of Evelynn, and basically sacrifice Evelynns +5% higher winrate in exchange for potentially riskier early pre-6 ganking power?

In a situation where a lane can really get rolling off of a single gank. Say you have a GP top. You go up there pre-6 a couple times, give him a couple kills, or at least the capability to get a kill or two, and you win that lane.

There are also situations where Elise's spiderlings come in VERY handy, like taking Dragon or Baron, dodging skill shots, and keeping her healthy in the jungle. Also, I think her cocoon is harder to dodge.

It just comes down to matchups and team comp. Some team strategy might also be involved if your going in a premade.

It would be too much work to give you an effective list of potential matchups and team comps, this is just something to start taking note of as you play more. But think of it like this, each champ has it's powerspikes to be aware of and skill maxing order and item builds and gold dependencies as well as playstyles that affect their need for assistance or to be shut down.
