Why doesn't obviously weak champions get at least just a small buff ? lets pick jayce for example, jayce is so bad right now I mean he has less than 1% play rate for a reason.
So what reason is there to not just give him a small buff ? like increase his ranged W dmg or something
I guess because Jayce isn't that bad actually. I remember the last thing changed about him resulted in him seeing competitive play in mid lane and that isn't even that long ago.
I just checked and he has around 1,2% playrate with a win rate of about 46,5%, which is bad, yeah, I'll admit that. But it's not terrible.
The meta at the moment doesn't favor these kinds of champions I guess. Otherwise we would see some Varus mid again.
I kind of have the same problem. Orianna is my favorite champion and she is in the top 10 worst win rates for soloQ right now. But she is perfectly fine balance wise tho. She hasn't been touched in a long time and I think it's better that way. what's bad at the moment is her match-ups and the AP items in general. This can change without having to tweak her kit.
Look at Ryze for example. He has the worst win rate for soloQ and he is such a contested pick in pro play.
IMO you should play what you want and if it's Jayce you can still do well if you are more comfortable on him than your opponent is on his champion.
