Whats with these lag spikes eh? Anyone else or just me? Just minding my business at around 30-40ms then BAM! 250-500ms! Not my internet connection. Anyone? Anyone?

I've had this happening lately as well. I have a solid ethernet connection and it happens randomly. I was never sure if it was me or the game. This post probably belongs in report a bug

I have had this also. Random peaks of 300 ms then it will swig between 120-200 for a few minutes before going back to normal.

Tested my internet and I'm getting a solid 55mbps and I'm wired directly to the router. Not wifi.

On a side note, I have also had a lot of frame drop issues since preseason hit. Brief moments here and there.

My ping spikes tend to be a lot more violent. (In the "Attempting to reconnect" range) Though I am on Wifi, with several other devices on that wifi.

Regardless, I suspect it might be an internet traffic problem. Too many people trying to play at the same time, and resulting in more packet loss at the routers in between us and the server. Not really an issue that Riot can easily address, as those routers belong to the internet companies.
