there is a gear icon in the top right corner of the client. between the question mark and the x to close it. click on that, go to "chat and friends" and remove the checkmark from "enable language filter".

I would rather know why "are under" is censored. It is kind of hard to tell my jungler that we have been under tower all game in bottom lane when it is censored.

Is there any way to turn off profanity filters in runes/masteries/etc?

I have a section in one item set called "Mana ist Macht" censored to "Mana ist *". And it's pretty annoying that my own item set, which I named myself and only I can see, is deemed too profane for me.

I mean, does Macht have some sort of bad connotation in German or what? I just think the language sounds cool. Even so, I would like to see my own stuff.

Macht literally comes from the German verb Machen which means "to do/makes". There's not reason for it to be censored.

Just because Nazi camps had the words "Arbeit macht frei" (Work makes free) on them does not mean there is anything wrong with a simple German word.

"Macht" is the noun that means power while "macht" is a form of the verb "machen" witch means to make. So "Mana ist Macht" is exactly what you want to say, but sadly the Nazis ruined everything... (Because of that sentence you also cant tell your friends that you are still at work when you are using the app. x.x)

btw "Runes are infinite" would translate to "Runen sind unendlich" but you could also use "ewig" or "unerschöpflich"

Thank you! If I'm not mistaken Runes were used to write German before the Latin alphabet took over (though the runes in LoL most likely refer to some made up magical runes but whatever).

Yea, the christians brought the latin alphabet to germany. But some germans and other tribes still used the runes to communicate with each other and their gods, so the christians connected them with witchery and unholy magic xD
