I mean, his ratios now are just so low along with the base damage on his abilities, he can't buy old core items like Frozen Heart or Spirit Visage because of the wasted stats, and his passive is somewhat awkward to manage at times. What are you opinions? Is he still strong in the right hands or has he been hit by the nerf hammer one too many times?
No just underplayed.
Remember, popular champs doesnt always equal overpowered and vice versa.
From the few games I've had to play against him recently, he's really strong. Just underplayed. This guy kind of sits in the middle of fights with his ult active going to town on his keyboard. He never really dies in team fights due to the spellvamp he gets and comes out with several kills. It's honestly such a hassle deciding how to handle this guy in team fights with the kind of sustain he can get off and usually I see Ryze players get decently tanky.
ryze is still the most broken champ in the game. people just stopped playing him. (thankthe fucking gods)
I've gone up against two Ryzes recently and when both of them got two kills they immediately became unkillable monsters smashing their faces into their keyboards while taking no damage and killing my entire team.
I think Ryze's full game build still remains as Sapphire crystal.
