Well, I main udyr 1st of all. I Mained him since season 2, and I do know he is rather strong at the moment.

My idea of rework is more into a VGU update. He needs clearer power spikes not dependant on items.

Here is my idea of how to actually have clearer powerspike. Global cool down decreased to 1second scaling with cdr. Udyr passive: Udyr gains 4% attacksspeed and 4 movement speed on ability cast. This stacks up to 5 times. When this ability is at 5 stacks next ability gains bonus effect. You lose all stack after using an ability at 5 stacks but gain 20% attack speed buff and 20 movespeed buff for 5 seconds(this means you need to cast 6 more abilities to get the effect again but passive stat buff is not lost and can be stacked twice to 40% attack speed and 40 movespeed with over 30% cdr but is Very mana heavy( Udyr can cast about 11 abilities at level 4 before going out of mana but he doesnt have neccesary cdr yet so unless you got blue buff you can't physically do it before getting mana items and cdr. Tiger stance(Q): The full damage bonus Dot damage is dealt in a rectangular area with width of 250 and lenght of 150 starting at the end of udyr hit box. (This gives udyr aoe damage withouth going phoenix or tiamat). The main target gets by bonus damage twice but only once by auto itself. Turtle stace(W); Shield gained is doubled, and you gain damage reduction equal 10/15/20/25/30% for 3 seconds. Bear stance(E): You gain tenacity equal to 30/35/40/45/50% and slow reduction equal to 40/45/50/55/60% for the duration of active of bear stance movement speed buff. Phoenix stance(R): On 1st hit the target is ignited to take damage equal to your R activation damage aura over 5 seconds. It currently is 40/80/120/160/200 base damage. This aura deals damage to ignited enemies allies in range equal to sunfire cape.

Ability changes: Tiger stance(Q):(passive) Your every 3rd auto deals bonus damage equal to 30/60/90/120/150+ plus 5%+(1% per 40 bonus ad)max hp physical damage over 2 seconds. Applying the DOT again deals the current dot damage immediately in full( Udyr loses raw damage which scales with 195%ad at the moment at max rank but gains % hp damage which is more vs tanks and less vs squishy targets. With 200 bonus ad you would deal 10% max hp damage instead of extra 390 damage currently)Coupling Q with passive 5th stack would increase damage on 1 target but reduce damage on a sustained damage basis while giving udyr some aoe) Active:Udyr gains 30/40/50/60/70 attack speed for 5 seconds. 6 second cooldown. Turtle stance(W) (passive):every 3rd auto udyr heals 2.5%max hp increased by 1% for every % of missing hp. (At 1% hp left udyr heals 4.95% max hp) this leaves ability unchanged but with passive on maximum stacks it makes udyr more tanky. This makes hp stacking better if you use empowered W but resistance stacking better if using normal W proc Active gain shield worth 80/110/140/170/200 plus 0.5AP. Bear stance(E): (Passive): 1st auto on enemy stuns them for 1 second. This debuff cannot be applied to same target within 6 seconds. Active: Udyr gains movespeed equal to 15/20/25/30/35% for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds and his 1st auto attack after entering this stace will dash up to 300 range towards enemy( this allows to wall hop into gromp from lane, and to hop over walls if jungle camps are up and you got vision, and to actually jump to targets other side of the wall if they walk close to the wall) phoenix stance(R): (passive) every 3rd auto deals 40/80/120/160/200+0.4AP magic damage to a 90 degree cone, with range of 500 in front of udyr. Active: Udyr is set ablaze and burns enemies within radius of 250 for 8/16/24/32/40 +0.1AP damage a second for 5 seconds. This makes udyr damage very tricky if he set you ablaze you will burn your allies if you walk near then, but staying close to udyr you take his active burn damage and your own damage from the burn. The scaling is low but this would make liandrys and rylais AP udyr actual very scary as permanent slow would apply. While taking 80+0.2AP damage a second while near udyr while ablaze. This won't scale to make him AP though as with 800 AD it is only 160 damage a second which is much but udyr would just flat out die if going full AP.

How this would change udyr.Udyr would be more tanky and give him some outplay potential by wall hoping if targets are near walls or give him ways to hop over walls inside jungle/ and small walls in mid/ dragon/baron pit. His damage would be reduced withouth using passive 5th stack enchace but it would be increased about once every 5 seconds If he choses to. It also makes udyr less early game focused and more midgame and lategame where he reliably can have mana to keep passive going off more then once in a fight. And his AOE damage with both empowered Q And empowered R would would be hard to avoid in team fight if grouped. He might set you on fire making you burn your own allies, or If you are close to each other he would DOT you in AOE for max hp% damage which would actually apply black cleaver stacks to full to multiple people, so his build options might change. Tell me what you think about it.

Numbers can be tweaked, but the core idea is to make udyr more into a juggernaut and able to team fight and tank with empowered W if neccesary while keeping his old idea of many viable builds.

No he got an ultimate skin so riot already closed the book on udyr. No more skins, no more buffs/nerfs. No rework in sight. He's forgotten

How about me make Bear Stance actually able to catch people? That'd be nice....

After reading this you basically want udyr to be focused around 3 hit % scaling abilities. So you basically want a shittier version of fiora.
