Is Lux OP

Lux counters and more.

I love Lux Lux as a champion. I think she is very strong and I have over 100,000 mastery points with her, and I've been able to play her mid lately due to my friends not hogging mid like usual. However, i find that if i get mid in a ranked game and Im first pick, im screwed. Lux's power is very strong but she can be countered very easily. People like Fizz, Leblanc, and Yasuo are a few people that I have been destroyed by in my games. If they have mobility, Lux is going to have a hard game. So here's the question, is she op

How she is op

I will start of the conversation saying how she might be op. Her cc can be very annoying. Her E (aoe effect) can be very difficult to miss and its her harass and it works effectively. If she is level 6 and she hits her stun, and your low, your dead if she has her ult. Her ap is very powerful and her R does 300 damage as soon as she's level 6. Her CC is strong with both her Q and her E and in late game is she's level 16, her R will do 500 damage plus all the ap shes built by now. Usually with my build my R does 700-800 damage, which will easily chunk the enemy team. Plus her cc might begin a team fight with those two people stunned and probably dead if her team follows up.

How she isn't op

However, here is where I think Lux takes skill. SHE IS ALL SKILLSHOTS. If her opponent can dodge skillshots fairly well, it will be difficult for a Lux to kill him. I know that I had to go against a brand, who dodged my Q and I could not get kills. However, I've also gone against a victor who was so squishy and couldn't dodge skillshots, if I landed my Q it would mean i got a kill, but thats only because he literally walked right in front of my stun. Like I said before, Lux can get countered easily by a lot of good champions. ![Yasuo](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.20.1/img/champion/Yasuo.png) ,![Ahri](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.20.1/img/champion/Ahri.png) ,![Talon](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.20.1/img/champion/Talon.png) ,![Leblanc](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.20.1/img/champion/Leblanc.png) , ![Zed](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.20.1/img/champion/Zed.png), and ![Fizz](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.20.1/img/champion/Fizz.png) are just a few of the champions that counter Lux. If you go onto the link provided in this post, there is a list of counter on a website that i suggest you use to counter pick in ranked. It is very helpful and I love using it. Playing against counters is something you have to learn as Lux, however it is very difficult. Against a fizz, he can go untargetable so there is nothing you can do. Ahri, Yasuo, Leblanc, and Zed have high mobility and damage. Lux get countered by anyone with high damage and mobility.

Thats about it for this discussion. I hope you enjoyed and learned something, please take the poll to see the votes of other people to see what the community thinks. I would love to hear feedback and thank you all for reading.

When I play any game mode ranked or normal and my team picks Lux in my head I say " We won " when the enemy picks Lux I say the opposite.

Lux is pretty annoying to play against as she does have a pretty strong lvl 2 in my mind. If the lux player get Q and E, she can throw Q in 1 direction and E in the other and just sandwich in the opposite laner, they will have a choice to either get stunned for a year by Q or slowed and take a decent chunk of dmg from her E. Not to mention that most lux players get CDR items instead of AP so they can just poke you while under their tower, Spamming Q E Q E Q E.

I did enjoy this discussion thanks for having me Have a Good One !

Any champion that has such a gross lack of mobility is balanced by default unless they have some SERIOUSLY huge compensation for that lack of power in their kit (IE Darius). Lux is obnoxious to play against but she's not necessarily overpowered.
