Increase ping

About 6 months ago i used to have 14-17 ms daily without any lag spikes whatsoever. Then suddenly after a patch it went up to 22-25 constantly but i didn't see that as a problem. (note: my friend had exactly the same so i think the problems isn't my pc or network). and now a few patches ago i started having some games where i constantly had 60-120 and often spikes to 300. I stopped playing because i literally couldn't with that ms. After a few weeks i began playing because i forgot i used to have high ms and in those games i had 22 ms again. And now i have the same problem again. 50-100 ms with spikes up to 1100 ms.( This only occurs in league of legends) i dont have any problems in other online games). pls help me fix this.

I literally play at 80-120 MS daily.

These are possibles that I have found that do exactly what You said. I am not a tech specialist though.

Maybe some one is leeching your wifi? check to see your networked computers and if you have a leech change your password? Or just change your password.

Maybe you downloaded a bit of malware, look at recent installs and maybe clear those out. Also clear your browsers cookie stash.item 2012 It seems strange but I have had a bad cookie steal my internet speed before.

Maybe your antivirus is updating randomly in game (most are set to 240 minute intervals for updates). you can change it in settings.

If all that fails call your internet provider and tell them you are not getting the payed internet speed and it has to be on their end. (They will give you a run around for a little while but bear with it or fight through it.)

Anyways I hope whatever is going on gets fixed for you. But uhh welcome to the 120 ms club I guess. I have not had any Ping increases personally over the last year. And everytime I do, some one on my network started stealing all my bandwidth.

Ping is partly dependent on traffic, which is generally higher at certain parts of the day/week. Other mechanical issues such as slight material defects/impurities somewhere along the signal’s path (Ethernet or WiFi, but much more common with WiFi) can increase ping. This can also fluctuate based on stuff like humidity or wear.
