Worse matchmaking than Destiny

This is by far the laziest and most unrewarding season yet. Not only am I costanlty spammed with friend requests from Elo boosters I cannot solo queue without running into a disgustingly overpowered champion that has no counter play. The bans this season are so spread out that if you miss a ban on say mogama since you were busy banning Irelia and katarina. You lose in champ select to a three second snare and an AOE slow into stun on top of a spellshield. BETTER NERF VEIGAR

Morg is mainly a support, Annie is mainly a mid laner. Annie beats Morg as a mid laner, but Morg isn't being taken mid and Annie support loses to Morg support.

I thought Annie support beat Morg support... instant stun-bear Tibbers aoe before Morg uses her shield? I dunno.

Have people been telling me lies?! Though I'm sure she has her weaknesses(?)

Support and Mid lane aren't the same thing. Context is important, Annie only wins if both were mid, but bottom is a 2v2 lane where neither Annie nor Morg is getting farm.

Yes, I know this. I've been talking about support role only, and have been told that Annie support beats Morgana support.

I was not confused in that regard.

Well, who ever told you that was basing it off their solo lanes. Rules are entirely different when brought to bottom lane, Annie doesn't really do that well as a support in general either. She loses most of her games as a support at all stages of the game.

Most Annie supports I've seen are effective, I guess she falls off in higher elos.

Though I found the most recent place I heard that Annie counters Morg, but I think I must have misinterpreted it.

Quas is fully aware of this, saying, "Most teams counterpick it because they think it's going to go support. For example, in the TiP game, they picked Annie into it, but then TiP rotated it top and picked Leona, which is a counter to Annie. In the CLG game, we expected the Braum pick, which is fine against Morgana, but we like Janna better into it, so we took Morgana top. That way, we can still protect the hypercarries and secure late game teamfights."

From the wording, sounds like Annie is just a "safe" pick against Morg, rather than an outright counter. Or at least that's how I think it comes across? I can't really tell if Morg counters or gets hard countered anyone, rather than it just being a pure skill matchup.

You should watch some LCS games. Annie gets a lot of play (and even some bans), but she's almost always support. And she builds relic shield. Still not sure why on the second one . . .

But the point is, she has a bunch of utility, fairly high base damage, some useful tank stats & abilities, and good scaling with even a little AP. This makes her a good support.

She's also fairly immobile, which causes problems mid in the current meta. To some degree, anyway.

We're not LCS players though. SoloQ vs LCS are entirely different games with different rules. A lot of the best SoloQ champions aren't picked in the LCS, and some of the things that work best in LCS don't work in SoloQ.

I'm just saying, you learn stuff watching LCS.

Sure, there are differences. Bard support will probably never take off in Solo Q. Bard support in LCS could be really useful.

But Annie support isn't one of those high skill-cap things that you can't pull off anywhere else. You buy spellthief's edge or relic shield, charge up your stun, flash->tibbers. Fed adc, no God-tier mechanics or coordination required. Just basic awareness of what the hell's going on.

Probably the number one tip for anyone wanting to climb out of bronze. 10/10, good job mate.

wrong

Almost 80% of her games are her being picked for bottom lane. 80% falls under "mostly".

Matchmaking in this game is awful really. I know level ~20 people put up against people who are silver or higher.

Your complaints about the bans are also reasonable. With 120+ champions, 3 bans just are not enough.

Have my upvote.

I dunno. Destiny is pretty unbalanced. I mean. When ur facing a guy who's gun shoots an AOE, and deals 2 times the damage of ur precision rifle. Thats pretty annoying.
