Yes, you have to play your 10 placements again, and you are going to get placed lower than you were now, with a better mmr so you can climb back easily.

That's the first time I hear about this part and I'm positive I've seen every single post regarding the topic.

This is how the system always works.

No, it doesn't.

The only reason it's "easier" to climb aka you get more LP, is because LP gains are relative the MMR/division ratio.

And you will nearly always be placed lower than you were and as a result you will get more LP for wins and less for loses.

There will be a soft reset when the season starts. Anything you do during the preseason will have a slight effect on your MMR as usual

Wait, so after the soft reset (after pre-season is over), my MMR will be reset to where it was when S6 ended, or will it be reset to around my current Flex rank?

I placed in Gold5 when S6 started, and stayed in Gold5 (only wanted the rewards, lel). But then this preseason-7, I placed Gold1. So when S7 officially starts, will my MMR be set to where I ended in S6? Or to where I am currently (Gold1)?

(Was my beginning Flex MMR even affected by my Solo/Duo MMR from last season? I had thought so because all throughout my games I was playing with Plats/Diamonds/Masters (this was after they "fixed" Flex queue.)

Anyways, like the original post, I'm also wondering where my Flex MMR will be reset to. I'm surprised it's better than my Solo/Duo from S6.
