Nunu Rune Sets (In-depth)
#The Standard Tank Support https://i.imgur.com/luvJYPE.png #Take this build for Support Tank Nunu. This is the standard build. It focuses on peeling your ADC, while also buffing them with W to basically make them huge steamrollers.

Guardian procs on W cast. Your naturally nigh HP base stats make this rune very effective.

Font of life is an obvious choice here. Your E slows for a good amount and your ult slows the entire enemy team when used well. Your high health stats help this.

Iron skin makes invading and clearing jungle easier. In the early game, most damage taken from duels will come from basic attacks.

Overgrowth is an effective choice since you will be counter jungling and clearing jungle camps more often than the average jungler. This also synergizes with all your other runes in the resolve tree.

Waterwalking and Celerity synergize with each other, granting a lot of AP and movement speed. The bonus movement speed helps your counter jungling by compensating your slow early clear speeds with movement speed. The excess AP also makes your early dragons extremely safe. (AP grants extra healing from Q)

#Take this build for a tanky bruiser type of build. This build focuses on being as sticky as possible, counter jungling at very fast speeds, and having extremely powerful ganks. You are also more durable as a front liner than all the other builds.

The Inspiration tree gives attack speed and potion healing, making your clear speed fast healthy.

Glacial Augment makes your ganks and duels extremely deadly. Your chained slows (Red buff, E, Glacial Augment) make top lane the ideal lane to gank.

Hex flash allows you to Q + Smite a camp the enemy jungler is doing by surprise more often by Hexflashing over walls. This also allows you to sneak in dragons for free when the enemy scuttle crab is up. Just Hexflash behind the dragon pit wall. If the enemy team doesn't see you come in from the front of the pit with scuttle crab vision, it gives the enemy team a false sense of security, making it much less likely that they will scout for you.

Future's market is very helpful because this build is extremely expensive.

Approach Velocity makes the chances of an outrunning you while you're bopping them to death very low.

Legend: Tenacity helps you stick onto enemies and deal more damage in a team fight.

Overheal allows you to use your Q more often and effectively, making your clear speed faster. This is because that usually, Nunu players tend to save their Q to heal them. With Overheal, you don't need to wait.
