There are certain quintessence runes that I think are completely out of meta: Revival Gold generation Anything other than Ap/Attack speed/Attack damage runes Plz help these poor runes out

Plenty of quints are used in the meta. While not as prolific, many of them have their own niche or purpose to be picked.

Armor and MR quints are useful against certain champions who want to snowball early (Leblanc, Riven)
MS quints are used on many junglers and some laners.
Health Regen quints are useful for surviving hard matchups or as Mundo
Spellvamp quints are very situational, but may be used but some mages and Mundo jungle
Health quints have mostly fallen to the wayside after the buff to scaling health seals, but are still seen on some supports.
Lifesteal is useful on autoattacking junglers to keep their health up in the jungle (Nocturne)
Hybrid pen is a useful damage option for some tanks and bruisers who rely on base damages (Elise)
CDR is pretty specific, but it can have funny results on Nasus if you know how to play with it.
Gold generation quints used to be core on supports, but their itemization changed so they were no longer necessary.
Revival quints are pretty gimmicky. Most people want to try and win or survive their lane with early stats, while these quints only exist to slightly lower the punishment of dying. These are only really useful if you are dying a lot or need to revive quickly to defend an objective.
