Gold 4 is essentially the average rank and is probably the rank-equivalent to the starting MMR that's given to people who are new to ranked.
Matchmaking is trash but we aren't allowed to talk about it on the boards because of the snowflake police.
Your guys mmr is like 40 off and he has more mmr. Its not riots fault you're both equally skilled at the game.
I mean he has the same winrate as you. Also he didn't perform bad that game at all. Considering you are in EUNE a region with a low amount of players it's pretty believable you have similar MMR's.
