It would be nice if there is a function to ignore one person's pinging & chatting. It is annoying when they spam pings not for constructive criticism but just to be annoying. I believe there used to be a function /ignore but it is not there anymore...Please RITO

It would be nice. While pings are a vital part of team communication, some chat restricted players will just use them to repeatedly ping on allies when they are angry.

Yeah.....I had 3 trolls in my game and they just kept spamming pings on my champ...So annoying :/
Muting the ping function is a terrible idea.
Maybe suppress pings of the same type for 5 seconds or so. That will still allow the person to get their point across when necessary, but seem incredibly less annoying.
Deal with the annoyance. Turn your volume down.
Willingly preventing a teammate from communicating with you and vice-versa puts you at a disadvantage regardless of how you look at it. In all walks of life, you will have to deal with people who you find unpleasant. Strap on your big-boy belt, be straightforward that the shortcomings of your team can be attributed to the bad choices of the players in question, and play on.
You don't even have to make small-chat with them (gasp!) outside of team-coordination stuff, but coordination wins games. So don't go muting people. And certainly don't go around making threads to make pings even more irrelevant in the places that most need them.
