Did AP kaisa really deserve that big a nerf?

So kaisa was broken, I get that, and she had to be nerfed, my problem is that in the process my favorite pick AP kaisa mid, got completely dumpstered to the point of no return, and to make matters worse riot pretends as if they gave her a "compensation buff".

Her ap ratio on W got nerfed with 37.5-52.5%, and her whole assassination combo with a total of 75% AP. Now a 15% ap buff to W doesn't bring any of that back, its still a nerf 22% nerf to her poke and a 60% ap ratio nerf to her all in. How many other champs has gotten their total AP ratio halved and survived?

Idk, I just feel like there were better ways to nerf kaisa than removing AP kaisa. (The one without guinsoos, the Ludens poke kaisa)
