make flash reset incoming damage?

In this game, if someone performs an attack animation, at the same time as you flash, the damage travels with you, causing you to die at flash'es destination. Same thing with some lock on abilities. Flash prolongs your life by a split second because those abilities now have longer travel time. However you still die. At the end of the day you accomplished nothing but wasting flash. It's painful to waste flash and its painful to see other people waste flash. What is a flash? It's like a teleport. Your champion's atoms get scrambled and re-assembled near by. What technology do spells and attacks have to allow them to lock on to targets and travel with them through space and time? None, it doesn't make sense.

I think that when a champion flashes, the incoming damage that hasn't hit the champion should be nulled because it shouldn't be possible for auto attacks and spells to follow objects through space and time. They should just magnet towards where the flash begun and disappear in that place.

This could add more utility and mechanics to the most popular spell in the game. This will also make people feel safer while flashing and wouldn't worry about wasting flash.

this could also make flash a combat spell with it's new damage mitigating properties.

Flash is already OP and nearly 100% mandatory. It doesn't need buffs to become a defensive tool arguably more powerful than Barrier...

Riot has never been too keen on undoing changes.
