Why isn't AD Nidalee considered viable anymore?

Most nidalees build AP, and i've even been told several times that they nerfed AD nid by a lot. Earlier today I played a bots game to experiment with her AD scaling power and tbh from that game it didn't feel TOO different from AP nid. I got iceborn gauntlets, BOTR, and ghostblade and still got to kill everyone by just landing the spear and following up with cougar combos. So why is it not played as much these days?

Mainly because it still requires landing her spear to be effective, but you also need to dive in on the champion you hit to deal your burst instead of just being able to sit back and throw ICBMs at the enemy team. She is a strong splitpusher and has decent poke, but the question is always "why play her AD when AP does the same but safer?"
