Anyone noticed how laggy Riot servers are as of the last 5 patches

It is crazy to understand the amount of people that play this game. The one thing I have realised though is it seems for every patch riot puts out as of late comes with crazy connection issues. There has not been one game in my last 40 that have not had a connection issue on my side or the other. Maybe its just me and my 100MB/S connection, thats probably the issue "not fast enough". For all the hype these guys get I would sure like to see some improvement on this issue.

Can I get a source? Otherwise I'm assuming you're just pulling that out of your ass.

TL;DR courtesy of Adrith:

Wow the title was a massive bait for east coasters. "Server migration" oh we actually just mean we're moving them a few miles down the street to a newer better data center while we fail to address the ping discrepancy that east coasters have been complaining about for literally years.

Maybe you should actually read what the reds have to say instead of jumping to conclusions. I bet you were curious why that thread has almost 200 downvotes.

The thread has many downvotes because people want east coast servers and until they get it they wont be happy with anything.

Do you know why we want East Coast servers? Because literally every other ARTS game has this. Smite has this, DOTA has this, HOTS is going to have this, and THEY'RE STILL IN BETA!!! There is an objective difference between West Coast players (10-35 ping) and East Coast players (55-135 ping). I average about 100 ping per game, and that's not taking into consideration the absurd amount of lag that I deal with on these servers, and the infamous freeze drops. Taking THAT into consideration, my ping is averaging 300. Do you see the problem? Probably not, because the only people against East Coast servers are West Coast players that want the ping advantage to themselves, and they know that if hypothetically speaking, if that happened, they'd have to deal with 40 ping (you poor fucking babies.) How about you play on 135 ping for a couple weeks and then tell me everythings peachy? K? Gangplank

Why do you feel like I am attacking you or you have to be defensive? Yeah East Coast servers are necessary. Constant bickering never is.

You ever heard the old phrase, "the squeaky wheel gets the oil?" Until Riot knows that their practice of not giving us an East Coast Server is complete bullshit, and we won't stand for it, we're going to be stuck playing on far from even substandard levels of ping. 100 ping is unacceptable. Anything above 40 is just tolerable. So until Riot puts up or shuts up, I'm staying on the Soapbox.

If you want to devote your time to posting something besides praise on an internet forum for nobody to read it go ahead. Riot doesn't care about what you want or what is intelligent. They only care about praise, circlejerking and e$port$

its not really a normal kind of lag either, it's these weird lag spikes where you just lose complete control of your champion just long enough for it to die under turret or something.

After the Gnar patch, it was horrendously bad for me, but everything is fine now.
