Unbalanced Matchmaking

Today I joined up with a buddy of mine to do a normal draft-pick game. Our team looked great and I was ready to play. Nothing exciting happened early in the game, so I'll skip over it, although to say my lane (bot) was winning heavily. But where it gets interesting in when our top laner, my friend, is getting utterly destroyed. Now, it may be pertinent in my complaint to note that my friend mains top lane and has a very high win rate. He was also playing his best champion. So he's getting beat pretty bad, which is a shocker, he's pretty good so getting stomped on isn't something that happens to him. One quick lolnexus search later and my friend's lane opponent is diamond. I should point out that I am unranked this season and bronze last season. My friend is unranked but was silver. The rest of me team? A gold and two bronzes. So I would like to know, in all seriousness, how in the world 3 Bronze 1 silver and 1 gold is at all fair against a DIAMOND player?! Needless to say we lost and said diamond player went 17-5. But its not just his score, albeit its not all ridiculous. It was the way he outplayed our entire team in one versus three or four situations. At minimum this guy should have been playing platinums or golds. Not bronzes. I ended up with a not so good score after dominating lane. All because of an extremely unbalanced queue.
