does cho'gath's R visual reader account for things like opponents MR or any other damage modifiers?

cho'gath's R creates a red ring around enemy champs who can be killed and eaten by his ult. does the ring account for mr reduction from abyssal scepter? would it disappear if another enemy champ with locket mr aura showed up? what about if an enemy is effected by vladimir's ult and takes 12% more damage, would that cause the ring to suddenly appear?

essentially what im wondering is if cho'gath's red ring of death is fool proof or if there are times where i can execute with his ult even when the ring isnt there.

Isn't his ult true damage, thus not affected neither by resistances nor by forms of damage mitigation (or increase)?

There is only 1 fail case of the RoD from cho's ult indicator, and that is if they regen enough hp during the ult animation.

Or when that Blitzcrank shows up that is squishy but has a huge shield

No since its true damage, which should bypass damage reduction and definitly Armor and MR.

It does true damage, it isn't affected by damage modifiers.

literally laughed out loud! i cant believe i forgot his ult was true damage. for some reason i was under the impression that it was only true damage vs minions and monsters...

thank you everyone for clearing that up for me.

Nothing can reduce true damage unless the champion is entirely immune to all sources of damage.

His Ult deals true damage, and therefore only their HP matters. It doesn't factor in "temporary health" like shields, though.
