Lissandra ult gets no assist?

Okay, so I've noticed getting some love over the past week, so I thought why not bring the issue to this forum. So what basically happens is that when Lissandra uses her ultimate Frozen Tomb on an enemy champion, there is a little cast time on it. Now what I've noticed a number of times is that if the target dies before your ultimate fully casts, you don't get the assist and your ultimate also goes on cooldown. Can someone explain why this happens? Normally, it's a point-and-click ability unlike 's Crescendo which does have a cast time but is not targeted. I get the point of not getting the assist but why put the ult on cooldown? I hope I can get an answer.

there are few issues with cast time ults and it is in a lot of cases so that they go on CD before fully finished. Zed is the same in this manner but for him specifically there is a lil fix where when he ults, and the target dies before zed reappears, the ultimate gets reset to a 5 second cd. i think the same should be dome for lissandra and for other ultimates, refund maybe half of the costs and put it on a very short delayed cd before it can be used again

Yes that makes sense. I reviewed a replay, and I found that although the target did die before the ult cast, the AOE that foms around the ult did form but not for the full duration, like dissappeared instantly. Minions in the area did die though. I think riot needs to work on this.
