Who wishes URF was extended/made permanent? Or other modes? Why are these temporary....

Just a thought. We know it won't happen in a million years. Who ends an event on a Tuesday though? And I'm talking to URF, but it applies to all rotating game modes.

Other game publishers since like circa 1995- lets run alternate game modes freely or permanently. Make a lobby and let them play what they like. We support the core mode mostly, but let players do what they want.

Rito in 2019- lets randomly run any alternate game mode, players don't want it all the time or any real coherent schedule. They get their favorite game modes once or twice in a year if lucky. If they don't like it too bad, we are still hella rich.

Diluting the playerbase.
Riot thinks a lot of the modes are fun/good in short bursts, but would lose popularity quickly if they were always around.

It's on a case by case basis obviously (You are completely forgetting that ARAM was a player built fun mode that Riot made permanent so it does happen). If you want answers to your question about URF itself, google it yourself. They've already talked about it.

I just played a 40 minute ranked game. It was close. We lost because one guy got a bug up his *** and decided to throw.

40 minute games that depend on cooperation among heathens... that isn't how the internet works.

Slow, boring games that hinge on emotional terrorist are not fun or challenging. Just a waste of time.

I'll be back when I can play 20 minutes and have fun.

(for the guy around the Riot conference table: ** fun** is the point of games)

urf should be a custom games only honestly if you want to choose the game out of your free will then also let the party play for fun. thats what urf is for people who you know having a laugh of how X champion is broke here.
