Why is riot releasing new gamemodes while forgetting the old ones?

Ascension hasn't been up for months and now they are coming out with an entirely new game. It makes no fucking sense so completely ignore something people love, while developing something that only 30% of the community will enjoy. It is completely free to put the gamemode in the rotation, so why has it not been up? There is no negative to putting it up, right now there is no gamemode in rotation, so why not post it up until Teamfight Tactics come out?

We actually have no real numbers of players, unlike Riot.

But I still think that all modes should be playable in custom games and if they are too hard to maintain, let community to do it.

Like the first comment said, you have no basis to say people loved it.

Evidently, Riot didn't see enough players to justify bringing it back.

Ok, if that is true then what is the harm in bringing it while nothing is happening? Does riot make more money based on if people are playing SR, Aram and Twisted Treeline, if not then there is no reason to not allow those old things to come back.

Btw, that's like saying if a dog ran away and 3/4 of the family didn't want to take it back they should put the dog down.

If I had to guess, I'd say that having extra game modes up has an adverse effect on statistics they use from the normal game modes to balance them. If even 5% of the higher ranking players stop playing ranked to play Ascension, that's a massive number of people being removed from the sample pool.

And no, no it's not like that at all. It's more like saying if a movie was on and 3/4th of the family didn't want to watch it, they put on something else.

If that's the case why have any other game mode at all? If 5% of high ranked players matter so much why have Aram, and Twisted. Riot could just reskin SR so that they could have an event. There is no reason have Urf because ALOT more people play Urf than Acension.

Well, for URF in particular the surge in players who come back is a lot greater than other modes. And they may stick to the game again if they realize there are new champions and skins they like.

That doesn't happen with Ascension, 'cause it's just altogether less fun.
