Wind Wave, not Wind Wall. Yasuo W rework idea
Yasuo Wind Wall has always been really bland looking and also very frustrating to play against. It would make more sense and be more fun to play against if the wall was actually a shorter "gust" and not 4 seconds of projectile-invulnerability while he dances around a static wall that looks like a light breeze. The "wave" would be a conic wave of wind that travels outward to about 800 units over 2 seconds before disappearing. It would be a net nerf, but he could actually get buffs in other ways once such a frustrating part of his kit is fixed. A Samurai shouldn't be cowering behind a bit of wind. He should be charging forward into battle!
I Imagine a really powerful "gust of wind" with impressive cloudy/windy visuals and an equally awesome sound. Strong/powerful enough to look like it can ACTUALLY stop Nami's Tidal Wave. I'm fine with it blocking it... AS LONG AS IT LOOKS COOL. Not disappearing into another dimension without a trace. If Wind Wall is gonna stop Nami's ultimate, it should look cool, god damn it. Rule of Cool applies here, big time. As it is now Nami's ultimate should overpower Yasuo's Wind Wall. It needs a visual buff to match its power.
This is something I've always wished for but never got around to vocalizing until now. When I really think about it, Wind Wall has always been the CORE of what I have hated about Yasuo and prevented me from seeing him in any way except disgust. Reworking it to have more counter-play and cooler visuals+sound would actually make me LIKE this champion. There's still 2 other problems with his kit, double crit chance and too much synergy with displacement champions, but at least the worst thing about him is solved.
cough), not something a light fighter/assassin should be using to become effectively (although temporarily) invincible against specific (projectile-based) lane opponents. I'd understand if it was something with basically no duration— a skillshot that removes skillshots— that would look cool, remove a projectile or two (if it's necessary to keep that mechanic on Yasuo) for safety, and allow for more changes to the rest of his kit.
