How to actually fix Jinx

So Jinx got nerfed, if you haven't seen in patch 5.8, and she is still an utter problem. I have been enjoying Jinx in this tank melting meta, because my god she is the definition of tank melting, and lets just say, she is still utterly broken.

Lets just look at her kit:

Q: An incredible stacking attack speed steroid which can then be switched to increased attack range which deals AOE crit. This late game is horrendous to enemy teams. The effective attack range is increased even more with AOE damage on top of the increased attack range granted from the rockets.

W: A long (LONG) range slow which scales amazingly well with Jinx's AD. This alone isn't a problem until you couple it with her E.

E: An on demand 1.5 second 3 champion snare. Just reread that previous sentence if it doesn't strike you as to how ridiculous that is to have on an ADC. I mean, Lux only has a 2 target snare.

The idea behind a hyper carry is that their early game must be weak to the point that other champions can beat them out early to prolong their rise to hyper carry. And to make Jinx's early game weaker, you nerfed her level 6 ult? I'm sorry, but how does that hurt her early game? I can't even think of an example to explain how completely counter intuitive that logic is. Even with out an escape, her kit is the single safest kit for an adc: slows, roots, and insane range.

So Riot, why?

She has the lowest base AS of her class. She relies on that Q.

W: A long (LONG) range slow which scales amazingly well with Jinx's AD. This alone isn't a problem until you couple it with her E.

At least you can see the outline (like Lux's ult) and it can be blocked by minions.

E: An on demand 1.5 second 3 champion snare. Just reread that previous sentence if it doesn't strike you as to how ridiculous that is to have on an ADC. I mean, Lux only has a 2 target snare.

Vayne has a gap-maker that can also stun and proc her W. Ezreal has a flash on his E. Caitlyn has traps that can be placed under people while they're cc'd. Jinx's snares also have a delay, and opponents can easily go around them or walk over them if you don't have good timing.

.

The problem with your post is that you're attacking Jinx's strengths (her Q specifically) and Riot has repeatedly said they prefer defining weaknesses, not just toning down strength's. A lot of Jinx's identity is in that Q, and her ult is not supposed to be used close-range, so they went with nerfing the latter.

Can you explain this then, I ulted a Nami with her at 30% health after my ulti passed the 2 second mark and she lived with 10% health left. Only had a level 1 ulti at the time and she was just 1 level higher than me She was level 9 I was level 8

option a) nerf her damage. remove aoe crits on rockets. increase the ramp up on her minigun to 5 attacks, starting with lower attack speed. nerf the damage on zap. she pokes too well with it.

or option b) you remove utility (vision on her mines for example, movement speed through assists from her passive) and make her an actual low mobility, lategame hypercarry with aoe auto attacks like twitch.

i dont see why she gets both. she has enough in her kit to be considered a utility carry. yet the amount of damage she deals is absurd.

especially the free ghost on random assists on her passive is beyond infuriating.

shes not a low mobility carry. its so easy for her to trigger that passive, that she ends up having a lot of mobility. shes out of position, you manage to get the drop on her, and suddenly she runs away with light speed, because one of her rockets scratched one of your team members that someone else just killed. happens way too many times. and once she starts rolling, she just keeps it up by slaughtering your team.

The aoe attacks and the speed burst when she gets a kill are my only problems with Jinx. Makes winning team fights with her way too easy much of the time.
