So i did the preseason placement matches and from silver 3 i got bronze 1. Also i won 7 out of 3 of the placement matches? Does this happen a lot?

Dude, I've heard of people winning all 10 matches and landing bronze 5 while others lose all of theirs matches and get gold 3. I don't understand Riots system for ranking either. Season 6 I won 7, and lost 3 got S5. 2015 I won 3, lost 7 and got s3.

I'm one of those people...Lol. Won 10/10, and got S's on 5/10 matches, A's on the rest.

Literally, B5. Is something broken or...?

I wouldn't say broken. Just very flawed. It does what it's meant to do but it does a poor job of it.

Well put :)

Does anyone actually read the news? They said everyone is getting placed lower, with the highest possible placement being Plat 1.

Yes, we read the news - but there is more to it than that. Feel free to check out my post on it. To win 10/10 and get S+ on five, and earn Bronze V is flawed. Lower is fine, but you can't call it a ranking system when achieving the highest outcome (10/10) results in the lowest return (bronze V) - and when moderate to poor games (say 4/6 won) result in a higher achievement (Silver II). It's flawed :/

Except you are not giving enough information. Where each of those 2 players were placed is left unknown, and there previous placement matters. Players ending up in Bronze 5 after 10 wins might have been Bronze 3 previously. The guy who goes 4/6 and lands in Silver 2 might have been Gold 4. There is also no telling what effect queue partners might have on a game, so are these players playing solo or 5 man?
