I was on a losing streak of 10 for ranked at Silver 5. A demotion shield had been keeping me from demoting. Once I finally won a game, I started winning a lot. I got around 15-16 LP per win, and the opponents were pretty balanced.
Whenever I lose, I lost around 20 LP, which is normal. Why am I not gaining as much LP for wins at this point? And when would I be gaining around 21 LP for a win?

At a 50% win rate you should be gaining/losing 20 lp per game. I personally have a 53% win rate and I gain 23 lp for wins and lose 17 lp for losses

not true i am still losing more than i am gaining similar to the OP and my win to loss ratio is is 51% winning more than i lost. fyi with 51% WR i gain 18 LP and lose 20.
