Jannas interactions with the jungle plants

So~

I play a lot of games as Janna recently and everytime I try to use one of these plants in the jungle it feels really odd. Her autoattack is so slow, that it is really hard to time the jumping-plant-thing and if I try to use it in a fight I often cancel it before it goes off. But I have this problem only with Janna, every other champion is fine.

So my question is: Do you guys feel the same or is it my fault? What can I (or maybe RIOT?) do to improve these interactions? I would be happy if some experienced Janna-players could help me.
