Season 5 Junglers, back to gold starvation?

GQmEi3FBgE··2 votes·5,033 views

So, it seems to me like they reverted the changes to junglers for season 4, as in they removed all the gold generation from eventhing except an upgraded smite, which kills the whole purpose of having different smites, if you are forced to get the gold generation one to be relevant in the first place. I played a few games in the new jungle, and the new items are really cool and all, but what i found is that i had trouble even completing my jungle item completely, at which point i was falling off pretty hard as a jungler compared to the lanes, i was playing nocturne and such and it seemed like there was really not enough gold at all, to sustain heavy bruiser/damage dealing junglers like it was possible in season 4. Are we looking at Tank and utility junglers being the main focus in Season 5 again, because gold is scarce for the junlgers? Your thoughts?

It's almost like they intended to remove the jungle as the most powerful, game deciding role. le gasp

ADCs have been and will probably always be the holders of that title.

ADCs are the number one deciding factor in most games. That's wut.

What does an ADC do at level 3? He/she keeps farming. Maybe seeks a kill in lane if the support and he/she feel ballsy enough. What does a jungler do at level 3? turn a 1v1 or 2v2 into a 2v1 or a 3v2 whenever possible. Junglers made or broke just about every single game in season 4 LCS. ADCs don't mean shit until the late game, when they become the splitpushing DPS monsters they do near the end of the game. A jungler will be relevant starting at level 3, and will continue to remain relevant for the entire early, mid, and if you're a Lee Sin who know how to Insec all the shiz, late game. And if ADCs were the number one deciding factor in a game, then Teamfights would be lost as soon as they die in them, which is never the case. There have been TONS of fights won even right after the ADC died. Season 4 belonged to the Jungler.

you have no idea what you're talking about.

Season 4 belonged to the jungle and most of the games were decided by the best jungler.

You can be fed as an ADC and still lose the game because their jungler actually snowballed lanes while yours did nothing.

I've been reading about how jungling is abit gimped all day up till this point, there wasnt much I could say cuz I never went jungling personally since the update

well i went jungle jax/rammu taking stalkers smite and.. I dont really see the problem I noticed my sustain did went down.. sorta, I'll give you that but I'm not the slightest bit hindered seriously

I can stil gank fine both as jax and rammus... moreso as rammus... lol got 11 kills

That is Jax's dodge coming into play and rammus has always been a little rough in the jungle so it is not as differnent for him.

SMALL CAMPS

Small camps have hit the jungle gym (this line was blatantly stolen from someone else)

Small jungle camps now respawn every 50 seconds ⇒ 100 seconds

Base health, attack damage, gold, and experience of small jungle camps have been increased by 20%

Greatly increased the attack damage scaling of small jungle camps throughout the game

Increased the health scaling of small jungle camps up to level 12

I know they increased the respawn time but I just played a game as a jungler and I didn't seem to have a problem with gold.

EDIT: Also just saw that item 3711 Poacher's Knife gives +20 bonus gold on Smite.

The new jungle is meant to be more farm heavy. It's going to mean you can't just level 3 gank all lanes without concern anymore. It means you've really got to think before you try to counter jungle. Red buff now hits like a truck, even if you're up against a low damage tank jungler, trying to steal red could cost you heavily as red could put you more than low enough for him to finish off. It opens up the door for junglers focused on farming into their power game, while somewhat limiting the power of gank heavy junglers. However, if you do your research, you'll find a good path to clear your jungle and how to manage your game.

I'm not seeing a problem. I went jungle Leona twice today and kicked absolute ass. Never had money problems.

The camps give a lot more than in S4, especially the Raptors. They hurt, but they are wealthy.

Leo W is what helps you out there. And her ganking power is crazy good. The squishier jungles all got shafted with the heavy damage increase.

Yeppers. Great ganker.

But that's also the problem: if you get heavily invaded and counter-ganked, there's nothing you can do except lose.

except who the Hell can really counter gank a Leona? If the person you gank for has CC and a brain it is a two vs one even in a 2v2 because one of them simply won't be able to do anything.

Lee Sin could intercept Leona before she reaches a lane and fight her 1v1. Then she's screwed.

It's all about catching Leona before she can get to a lane. She can't disengage unless she uses Solar Flare.

ADC is the number one deciding factor in the game, but that doesn't mean he is that from level one, ADC's are protected and nurtured into late game where they shine and carry games by cleaning up the enemy team after everyone engaged/died.

Saying that ADC is not relevant would be a mistake and being ignorant.
