Why did Syndra get nerfed (not complaining)?

I'm not an expert in balance or anything and I understand that competitive play is the priority for Riot when balancing champions (everyone copies the pros in solo q anyways) but I just wanted to see what you guys had to say. Do you think she deserved a nerf? Not a complaining thread or anything, just curious. Personally I think that the dfg removal may not have hindered her in competitive but it weakened her solo q power significantly and on top of that she basically got the Ryze treatment (20 base damage reduction on q = 8% lower winrate). I was really bad at landing her stun even before the hitbox got nerfed but for a challenger player with 40 ping it may not make a big difference. What do you guys think?

If I remember correctly (and I could be wrong) it was done because there wasn't much "counter play" to her stun. They wanted to it a little harder to land, so that there was "counter play". Don't ask me what they think is or is not "counter play".

I don't really have a problem with the E nerf, it needed it, but it's really annoying at low levels how weak her Q is. I take W at level 1 for more harass since I don't feel rewarded for even landing Q til level 5.

Because Riot decided that the champion pool for professional play should be even lower than the last season.

Hey, c'mon now, they laughed at my joke too!
