How does Shield Bash Syngergize with Kled?

Is Skaarl just a glorified shield, or does he count as extra health? If he counts a shield this rune seems pretty big for Kled.

Skaarl is basically just another health bar for Kled. The only way that shield bash would work is if the kled has a teammate that can provide shields or if kled gets a rune/item that grants him a shield. Example is overheal or bloodthirster

Dont forget CHAAAAAAAARGE!!! grants a building shield during the travel, but Shield Bash just for an ult sucks

the only way shield bash works on kled is using your ult and then immediately attack the champion you lock onto since the shield granted from ult lasts 2 seconds after ending.
