POLL: AUTOFILL vs LONGER WAIT

Hi all -- I've become increasingly frustrated with autofills, and wanted to test the waters with the greater community. Would you rather wait 5-10 minutes for a game and be guaranteed one of your two selected roles, or stay with autofill and 2-3 minute queues?

Note that I do not know the true queue time if autofill did not exist -- just an estimation based on the old queue system.

Without autofill we would either have unbalanced matches or 20+ minute queue times, and that is the fact. Riot doesn't WANT autofill in their game, but it's a necessity. There are simply not enough support players.

The problem I see is, you can't guarantee that wait time, unless you have some way of dealing with the Bottle necking effect. (Which is what Auto fill was suppose to tackle.)

Originally, Autofill was designed to activate, if the expected wait time, exceeded a certain threshold. Not sure if that's still the case, or what that thresh hold currently is. But if Autofill activated after a 10 minute threshold, then removing it means a potential 10+ waiting Q.

It's not that you'll have to wait 5 mins longer, it's everyone will have to wait more.

Think about like this: the first top/mid surplus player has to wait an extra 30 seconds. The tenth top/mid surplus player has to wait 5 extra minutes. Now the 25th top/mid surplus has to wait an extra 22 minutes and so on.

I already wait 5-10mins for queues even with autofill. I'll take the longer wait in exchange for people being able to feed at their decided positions.

I've played 37 ranked games so far this season, haven't been Autofilled once. I queue as Mid/ADC, and got Mid 30 of those times. No dodges on my part either.

How often are you even getting Autofilled that you complain about it?
