Since we already have timers and pings, do you think game will be more enjoyable to play if Riot just remove chat from the game or just ranked games. Chat is mostly used for flaming and distraction from game. What do you guys think?
Hess222 votesI completely agree with you. I have been playing the game for years now on multiple levels of play and I can't recall a single time the chat window has been used to make a play. On the other hand it is used to harass and troll in just about every other game. There is no reason for this game to have a chat function, and without it, you eliminate all of the toxic players. Everyone knows that just about every toxic encounter stems from the chat window.

Instead, I propose a more archaic caveman system of subtle grunts and hand gestures, to demonstrate if we are overall happy with the game-play or not.
On second thought, being able to communicate with your team is 100% necessary.

MrSprichler1 votesI don't think that removing chat is an overall solution. Give players an option to opt out of chat every game would be fine in my book. otherwise the mute function was still up and working last time i checked.
Zydin1 votesSometimes there are plays the require more then just a ping to pull off. How would you be able to know to place a ward so that top can teleport in or if want someone to push top while the team pushes bot? Communication is a great tool when used and removing it would make a lot of things extremely hard to pull off.

Ash Lockheart1 votesChat is used mostly to throw a negative response. Its rare to see a play say this person is going bot vs just pinging. So I would agree to get rid of chat in a match.
DMouseslayer1 votesKeep chat please. You can mute someone and not read their chat. You can't really stop the pings. The constant pinging is more annoying than any harassment from chat.
