Lord Dominik's became useless

I want to hear your opinions on that topic.

When i play adc i don't even feel to buy Lord Dominik's anymore since it hasn't anymore 45% armor pen and the passive, which helps you to shred tanks. I rather build one extra zeal-item because i never do damage on tanks with 35% armor pen against a tank who hast 250 armor. It would be better when riot changes the last whisper items again into the old one from season 6. What do you think?

No they are much healthier now. Currently tanks are weak so building higher penetration is usually not needed and also runes having insane healing added to them (Ravenous Hunter and Triumph) causes Mortal Reminder to be super effective with its grevious wounds.

It used to be 45% bonus armour pen it's now 35% total armour pen, so against tanks it's MORE useful since it now affects their 100 or so base armour at level 18. If you wants it's old passive I'm pretty sure it's on the last row of the precision tree but I know that a difficult tree to choose as a marksman.

Also who needs armour pen when more damage does a better job against Everyone.

Yeah back when the 45% bonus armour was the case Thresh was useless since he gains no base armour per level it is all bonus since his passive. He was borderline a troll pick at that point.

Yeah thresh has like 30 base armor or somewhere along those lines doesn't he, honestly I liked that change to penetration it made things more clear cut as anti-tank rather than anti-item defensive items. It always seemed strange that the old version was more useful against a zhonyas than someone like darius who has a base of 106 armor without bonus armor. If only they applied the same logic so that lethality is applied before %pen, gotta love an assassin picking up a last whisper item and your suddenly super squishy when a few seconds ago they tickled.

edit: damn google almost gave me a heart attack seeing 16 on the side-bar
