How do I carry as Draven?

I am summoner lv24, have played for around a month now and own 4 champions. I currently have Anivia Anivia , Janna Janna , Nocturne Nocturne and Draven Draven . I will also get Fiora Fiora or Darius Darius when the price drops to 4800 with the upcoming patch. I am more likely to get Darius, because he is more durable and although I usually prefer champions with a higher skill cap, I believe his power in team fights will help me carry lackluster teams.

As I am not lv30, I have no access to ranked PvP, but I still play normal blind-pick games. My first champion was Anivia and I considered her my main for a long time. Now I have picked up Draven around a week ago and even since the first game, I understand the mechanics well. I usually duo queue with my brother, who is a competent Alistar Alistar who synergises well with Draven's aggressive lane dominant playstyle. I play most of my games as Draven, as I believe that I perform better as him. However, I have difficulty carrying.

I usually destroy the enemy during the laning phase and they often feed me while I build a lead of several dozen creep score. Although once the team fights begin, I feel like I am always on the worse team. I do not recall a time when I lost lane or even did not dominate, as there was only one skilled Caitlyn Caitlyn that I was evenly matched with. I always emerge fed, and in mid game I am almost undoubtedly the highest threat to the enemy. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, I seem to always have terrible luck in matchmaking and my team often loses the other lanes even when I roam to shut down enemies. There was a game where I was 16/1, but it ended as a loss at 24/6 because the enemy Rengar Rengar focused me down while ignoring team fights. I also just lost a game 20/10, because Blitzcrank Blitzcrank would pull me into 1v5 situations every few minutes. I am always fed, but I am usually unable to carry games. I have won games 8/0 and 17/2, but my win rate is still far below what I feel it should be considering my average KDR being 2.3. I require advice on how to carry games, as even though I am improving, my win rate stays the same even though my kill/death ratio is ever rising. How does one carry games and deal with crowd control? I might consider taking Cleanse instead of Heal if it does not weaken my laning phase too drastically.

Now this could be luck, as it is a 50/50 chance if you are put on the winning team, but this obviously sways depending on performance, as a player that goes 20/0 is far more likely to win than a player that is 0/20. This could be that I have only played roughly 30-40 games and that luck is not on my side, because I believe that I consistently am the best player on my team. Please, would someone give me advice on how to carry.

by picking a different adc, its not that dravens really weak its just that hes easily the most difficult champion in the game to both use and master. you can achieve similar results by playing simpler adcs. if you want a good and easy carry adc i reccomend Jinx KogMaw Ashe. though Jinx is probably the best well rounded adc.

also to answer your question about crowd control, you just need to be aware of your position and never stand still, you said that blitzcrank grabs you every few minutes and thats a indication that you have poor positional skills, eventually you'll learn to be more cautious about where your standing. try to get into the habit of auto-attacking and moving a step to the left or right immediately, this is what we call AA-canceling.

AA-canceling is when you stop your auto-attack animation quicker by moving slight when the animation goes off, this allowing you to sneak in more autos

KDA doesn't win games, it's effective team work and objective taking. If you are getting fed in lane, even though you are ADC try roaming to mid lane or ganking top lane while your support holds down the fort. Also, in team fights, stay behind your tanks at all times. The only time you should be close to the enemy is when you are engaging on them.

Draven is somewhat weak right now. He used to be an extreme lane bully that fell off late game but then they drastically decreased his early game power and now he's just garbo.

Corki Graves Tristana KogMaw Lucian far superior adcs

MasterSomething, I said KDR, not KDA. Massive difference. Also, if a Blitzcrank uses a hook every 15 seconds, then especially in teamfights, you will be hooked every few minutes. Draven also does not have any mobility abilities, so dodging is more of a problem. As I stated above, Draven has massive lane bullying potential. I constantly bully the enemies out of lane or get double kills, and I never lose my matchup. My positioning is by no means poor, and if I face a mere 3 enemies, I will easily dodge all skill shots and crowd control. However, this is more difficult when there is a teamfight in a narrow area with 10 people and everyone on the other team has some form of crowd control, whether it is a snare, stun, grab or slow.

Summoner Grey, you are familiar with Draven's kit, yes? How is it possible to even play, let alone master, Draven if people do not AA cancel and kite? Without quick clicking and gazing at the map every single second, Draven will make a mistake, and that is the difference between a fed Draven and a dead Draven. If people did not click after each auto attack, they would be dead or dropping every single axe.

I have good positioning, I catch axes, kite, and win lane very easily, and I am always fed or, in rare cases, even with the enemies. I am able to 1-2 shot enemy squishies, but I find that I cannot carry, because if say, Amumu bandage tossed in and used his ultimate, they would focus me and I would die, leaving my team strangely useless.

I need to know what to do, whether I should risk going for Baron Nashor when I am ahead by enough, split push and force several enemies to intercept me, participate in team fights but prioritize my life above all others, or try to all push mid whenever I feel strong enough to carry a teamfight.

Also, as a sidenote, by every few minutes, I mean he grabbed me twice in roughly 5 minutes near the 40 minute mark. I will also not play any other ADC, because I feel that they will be more difficult to learn and be less effective in lane. If Draven, the ADC that I use to dominate every lane, cannot carry, I would like another recommendation for a lane that is better for carrying. I do not mind high skill caps, in fact I would prefer them, because I want a champion that can carry, dominate, has outplay potential, and is insanely enjoyable like Draaaven Draven .
