Reason of Yasuo's (over)power
I don't know why is Yasuo hated so much. I am not trying to defend him, I just want to know WHY is he hated.

Tank builds are completely busted right now because they are really cost effective, cheap, and keystones allow tanks to deal damage.
The result is Tank Fizz, Tank Ekko, Tank Akali, and now Tank Yasuo.
More like assassins have plenty of base values & scaling, so they don't require damage items to instakill squishy targets. Not to mention there's even more armor penetration than previous seasons too.
Assassins aren't the only problem here. Champions like Vlad also built straight tank for a while before they got nerfed. Irelia and Hecarim are oppressive cause they build 5 tank items with 1 damage item. Etc.
Unlike assassins, vlad is immobile; no significant at-will movement ability, nor you don't see him jumping walls. He also can't chain kill teams, or 1-shot another champion (unless they did something stupid, like not buy any items). Also unlike some assassins, vladimir has no hard crowd control.
Also changing 1 item out of a build doesn't make it opposite; and irelia was the original overloaded champion. Then they wanted to break the record, as usual.
Except a champion without mobility can still be broken and OP.
And yes Vladimir COULD one shot the enemy laner with a full charged E while rushing a Spirit Visage.
Could; but how often? Vladimir, malzahar, & swain are only 3 champions each without mobility; each rarely picked aside from those who main them.
The vast majority of champions that riot has recognized as broken (either frustrating to fight or clearly overpowered), have been champions with mobility; each of which have had month long time frames where they were a popular pick before riot finally did something about it.

To be fair, almost every single champion in the game has at least a small dash, including Gragas, Poppy, Xin, or a MS steroid of some kind like Udyr or Zilean from your examples.
Irelia, udyr, & xinzhao were some of the first; in the era they came out in marksmen & mages ruled everything, melee champions couldn't accomplish much because they were blown up before they could get into range. They were designed as such in hope melee champs had a chance, and worked too well; ask any vet about their terror days.
While most have some kind of mobility, the ones that most frequently 'broken' have had one of a few notable varieties; Spam-able (akali, fiora, gragas, kalista, kassadin, katarina, riven, udyr, ext), unlimited utility/Versatility (azir, gragas, jax, kalista, kassasin, katarina, reksai, ext), Sudden distance changer (akali, fiora, irelia, jax, kassadin, katarina, xinzhao, ext).
Why are assassins often hated? They have high damage and at least one of these kinds of mobility, leaving a margional time frame to react before being telefragged, a few even have multiple kinds of these problematic mobility (such as ekko & leesin). Vladimir's pathetic boost is none of these; basic boots give a higher movement bonus than his passive, it only activates after hitting his Q twice, and is choreographed long before it happens.
his windwall is probably the best defensive ability in the entire game.in the late game just windwall the adc/apc and you disabled him for 2-5 seconds untill he goes around
his windwall is probably the best defensive ability in the entire game
wut no, his windwall isn't that good.
What's a better one?
(You can exclude all ult abilities, since we're talking about basic abilities)
Braum wall as you can reposition it
Arguably Fiora w as you can literally block anything
First 2 off the top of my head
I disagree. I have MR 5 on Braum and I still think Yasuo's wall is better. Yasuo doesn't get CC'd through it. He takes no damage from subsequent hits, unlike Braum. Fiora only protects herself. Yasuo can protect more people and for longer.
It isn't that good when you have plenty of time and/or space to reposition around it BUT a well placed windwall at an important moment in teamfights can literally mess up adc/apc and since its a teamfight with all the panic going around they might not be able to reposition around it quick enough or need to get in very risky position to deal damage where they might as well get blown up by assassins.
As a Yasuo main, nothing pleases me more than when the other team picks Miss Fortune. I look forward to pressing W when she ults.
W mister yasuo main. Windwall is on w
brain fart. fixed.
The thing is lategame most champions have around ~420 movespeed, walking around that shit is really easy. And since adcs have crit tiems and crit stuff gives ms, walking around the wall is even easier. Also it doesn't lasts long.
In my opinion its because hes too defensive for his damage. Its fine to have a champion with his extreme damage, but he is way too defensive to make it balanced. His passive and W make him more defensive than some tanks while still having assassin damage with his Q, E, and R.
