If riot nerfs the dragons then top will have more impact and games will not be decided so soon.

If riot nerfes the dragons, two things will happen: -- Rift herald will become more equal to the dragons making top more impactful. -- Games aren't decided in the first 15 min.

If rift herald becomes more useful junglers will get the choice to also play around top instead of only mid and or bot. The second thing that will happen is the games will become less of a snowball because of the jungler dominating early game and getting 2/3 drakes, the buffs dragons give are too strong and especially the elder dragon buff. If they nerf the dragons then the game isn't decided so quickly.

I've read other threads and I've seen allot of people complaining about top being not impactfull enough and the games being decided wayy too soon. Nerfing the drakes will remove both problems I think. But idk. Riot atleast try to fix the game.

dragon buffs are weak as fuck until you stack third drake though, they just need to make early Herald more important, and nerf Souls completely so denying them isn't so important. Drake buffs are weaker than before except maybe ocean

Dragons are easier to secure, given you get 4 players versus 3 too side. The ADC is also the sole champion in charge of objective damage on the team in most teamcomps, so you naturally want as much pressure there when ahead as you can get.

I think most analysts are saying that it is usually correct to trade away first dragon in favour of rift herald because the plates and potential early turret are worth more than a single dragon buff.
