Random in ARAM is total ASS.

Riot, your random system for hero selection in ARAM is complete and utter garbage. You need to seriously look at the pseudonumbers being generated and fix the way the system operates on choosing the next selection because this same champ choice game after game after fucking game is getting really REALLY old.

There are people who made accounts for ARAM-only, they're not even few. Thus there's a good chance you'll face people who have a near flawless chance to get ARAM game winners like Nidalee, Sona or Soraka.

If you really think about it, and know that theoretical probability is different than experimental probability, you'll realize that you're just as likely to get one champ as another, yet it's still possible to get one champ three times in a row, even if you don't reroll. If you're basing your expectations off of theoretical probability, of course you're going to be disappointed; theoretical probability is pretty much useless in gathering statistics.

I have a feeling it's wholly dependent on 1. how many champions you own and 2. who's free this week. Hence why accounts with only good ARAM champions are common.

I own all champs and Im pretty sure I still see a Sona in 100% of games lol.

Not sure what exactly you mean, but if our tiered of full poke comps on both sides in 90% of all arams, that has little to do with their random algorythm. The main problem are reroles, everyone that doesn't get a god-tier aram champ just rerolls till he gets one. That and the aram only accounts.

remove rerolles + let everyone randome from the full champion pool no matter if he owns them = +1000% diversity in aram.

I tend to play a large amount of champions, but while I do have every champ, I can say easily I haven't even seen half the champions (for me personally) in aram since it was an official gamemode. I have gotten the same 15 champions more than any others, and there have been multiple stretches of games where I get the same champion 2 times in a row.

It is "random" but it isn't as random as it actually should be.

it's the pseudo random generator they have in place. it's total hogwash shit. they need to have a reduction limit e.g. if i get lee sin one game THEN I SHOULDN'T FUCKING GET IT FOR THE NEXT 10 GAMES INSTEAD OF THE VERY NEXT ONE.

I have ~20 characters on this account, and while it seems like I get the characters I hate more often, I dont. I looked at my match history... its pretty evenly spread over a large sample of games. I think its probably because you have more fun with the chars you like, so it seems to go faster.

You're supposed to make a new account for ARAMs and buy all of the ranged poke/heal champions and nothing else. That's how everyone does it.

Riot has no reason to change this because people just might buy boosts or champions for real money to speed up the grind on their ARAM account. Not saying they implemented this "feature" on purpose, but they have no business case for changing it because it would cost them money.
