How to get out of rut in Ranked?

I seem to have a problem with winning a game, then losing like 3 in a row. Last game I played my team fed like an italian grandma whole game despite my best efforts to keep everyone alive. Why do you earn 12 to 18 LP in a won game but lose -20 LP in a lost game? Why do I even play Ranked?

My problem is staying focused when I'm on losing streak. I tend to take days off from league and when I come back I have better focus.

Yeah dude your best bet is to just take a break from ranked. I hope things go better for you though :)

When I lose two games in a row, especially in Ranked, I take a break until the next day. Play other modes or normal but don't continue to play Ranked if you're on a losing streak.

I feel you man. A while ago i had a horrendous losing streak in both ranked and normals, due in equal part to awful teammates and dumb decisions on my part. Just take a short break, and play your favorite champs when you come back. You'll eventually get some wins in.

Breaks from ranked when losing are a must. Tilt is real even if you don't really feel it. In the end ranked is all about playing a lot of games and improving over those games. If you improve you will rank up. If not, then you will stay where you are or go lower if your current rank is higher than your actual skill (mmr).

Tilt however throws off your skill and mmr since you are not playing your best. This season I made a rule for myself that I would stop playing ranked or take a good long break if I lost 2 games in a row the same day. I have pretty much stuck to that and ranked back up from silver 5 to gold 5 fairly quickly (after season 6 rank reset). In the past I would just keep playing games all day even if I was losing and would sometimes go on 9-10 game losing streaks. This would drop me 2 divisions and really killed my spirit. Now if I am losing and I stop playing awhile I don't go on as long of losing streaks so I don't have to make up as much ground when trying to rank up.

You lose more LP than you gain when your MMR is lower than the expected level for your current rank. If you maintain a >50% winrate those numbers will even out, and continue tipping that direction until you gain more than you lose.

I was stuck in a rut for a couple months earlier this season. Changing my main roles around helped me get back into the grove. I was a support main but now im an adc/mid main.

What rank are you?

Look at your stats and see who you win most with and keep playing that champion until you start tilting, then switch to next highest win rate. Another option is to just play blatantly op champs like Fizz.
