Suggestion for Quicksilver Sash

Ryibit··4 votes·489 views

Make the Quicksilver Sash build path more versatile by adding a mage and tank/bruiser items in its build path.

This is a similar balance concept to when grievous wounds was added to thornmail allowing tanks to have access to the same debuff that are provided from executioners calling and morellonomicon. I do believe these item additions would bring balance to the game especially vs certain champions with heavy cc or that are hard to balance (i.e. malzahar being a popular example especially with his recent notoriety) .

Unfortunately I do not have suggestions for the new items stats/additional passives but am interested in peoples opinions about this suggestion and the state of q.s.s. vs more traditional solution such as using cleanse or getting gud .

I think QSS might be problematic if it were too widespread, personally.

Mages already have Banshee's Veil and Zhonya's Hourglass, which provide a LOT of anti-CC protection, and giving them a QSS item would make anti-mage mage itemization frighteningly strong.

Tanks, on the other hand, often WANT CC to his them so it's not hitting a more fragile teammate, so giving them an item like this that disincentivizes targeting CC against them seems concerning. Tanks also get Tenacity, so I'm not sure how much they need this.

while i do agree with the 2nd part of the post that tanks don't need it for the reasons u posted. saying item 3157 gives "anti CC" is complete bullshit, you hard cc YOURSELF by using item 3157..

And you dodged the Orianna knockup, Amumu ult, Galio Ult, Fizz ult detonation, etc that would have hard CC'd you and left you vulnerable. It's a trade off, but it serves a similar purpose.

LOL.. right... because they all use them all at once*[sg-miss-fortune]*

even a BRONZE player can time any skillshot to land the exact milisecond they come out of item 3157

your scenario is "every person on the enemy team used every ability at your right when you used item 3157 and has nothing left.. and the enemy has no ADC than can 1-3 shot you with autos.

do i even NEED to explain how bullshit that scenario is ? [sg-lulu]

That was a list of things that are very valuable to dodge, not a suggestion that they were all used at once. :P

Could have been clearer though, definitely.

item 3026 item 3031 (and entire Crit stat) item 3814

I was crossing my fingers yoy wouldnt be this ignorant but i guess i gave you too much credit.

Infinity edge is not an AD death cap. Not only is crit used for only a select few AD classes, but its modifier is not only RNG based, but only effects auto attacks. (And a few spells that scale with it specifically on those specific classes but i digress)

Crit is also more multiplicative with attack speed than AD, since it gives you more chances to crit.

Deathcap is an AP item that gives you a lot of AP and gives you more AP for having AP.

Its not even comparable.

Not every AD champ builds fucking crit or is even auto attack based.

Some just want AD.

GA is not an AD Zhonyas. Zhonyas being an active gives it way more proactive and reactive use cases than it. Since it is an active, you have far more control over where and when it activates whereas GA only activates when you actually fucked up and died.

I can make an op play with Zhonyas or decide to save the CD for later when i get caught out.

I cant do shit like that with GA, and whats worse is it has both an inferior stat line and Cooldown.

Lastly is EDGE OF night which is by and far inferior to Banshees because it has to be channeled, and not only channneled, but channeled out of combat, and has a small window of uptime meaning it requires proper management and timing just to make good use of, as it can be baited, snuffed or stalled out.

Actual Banshees by comparison stays up perpetually. You dont have to worry amount making sure you activate it and time its channel as you go in so you can act within X window to hopefully block a spell. It just perpetually protects you. Period.

Yall wanna bitch and moan and yet you dont even take two seconds to think about thee things critically.

Until someone hits you with one low-Mana cost fart that consumes it and you won't use it in the figh because its CD resets on dmg taken. Banshee has its own type of channel that lasts 40 seconds lol. You don't have to worry about activating it? Well you don't have to worry about activating GA and it's still somehow weaker due to it to you.

No, your definition of what makes Zhonyas stronger while Edge of Night weaker shows you distort an item to sound weak or strong whenever it fits you, which is absolute lack of critical thinking. It's really a comedy at this point.

That's your fault for getting hit and wasting your otherwise perma spellshield. I will never understand this logic people use when saying "well if i use it badly it doent work". Yes. It doesn't. That doesnt make it less good than the alterntive tho, because its use cases and effetiveness case are still simply far easier simpler to meet than Edge.

Or would you prefer banshees and edge swap actives/passives? Because i assure u I wouldnt mind at all personally.

You dont know what a channel is. A channel is an activation that takes time to buffer before it can activate.

Banshees is a passive refresh.

You arent actively required to use it. It just perpetually stays up until popped, and then refreshes after a given time.

Edge not only requires a channel, meaning it cant ambiently protect you or be used reactively, but it also turns itself off after a small amount of time, meaning it has far more limited apllication and strict use cases.

Simply having a Banshees means you have a free get outta 1 spell free card unless the enemy actively goes out of their way to pop it for their temmates first, meaning you are otherwise completely unsafe to try and pick off if you misstep alone or get caught out unless the whole team is there.

By comparison, people using Edge dont have that safety net.

No, your definition of what makes Zhonyas stronger while Edge of Night weaker shows you distort an item to sound weak or strong whenever it fits you, which is absolute lack of critical thinking. It's really a comedy at this point.

No, it shows you lack basic critical thinking.

If Zhonyas could only be used when out of combat and had to be channeled, then yoy might have a point, but it doesnt.

Its an instant invincibility button that can be used reactively or proactively.

Edge is no such thing.

Thts your fault for getting hit. I will never understand this logiv people use when saying "well if i use it badly it doent work". Yes. It doesn't. That doesnt make it less good than the alterntive tho because its use cases and effetiveness case are simply far easier simpler to meet than Edge.

Are you like intentonally trying to be hypocrite, lol? If the channel of Edge is bad because you won't do anything in time or someone interrupted it then it's your fault for not using it right. You are supposed to use Edge without enemy knowing, while preparing to flank or ambush and jump on them.

It's not far easier to meet If you use Edge right. The problem here isn't Edge being weak, it's you not knowing how to use it.

But somehow when Banshee is weak it's because it's used wrong. When Edge is weak it's because it's weak. 10/10 logic.

Or would you prefer banshees and edge swap actives/passives? Because i assure u I wouldnt mind at all personally.

Yes, I would prefer it because that would make Banshees broken. It would have the advantage for AP Assasins AND extra bonus for ranged Mages as it would be easier to manipulate and not waste. How exactly would such effect help you on Assasin? In case you flank and ambush, that short time of channel won't bother you and If you won't flank then you are more likely to lose it than mages.

You dont know what a channel is. A channel is an activation that takes time to buffer before it can activate.

No. Fiddle's Passive is channel and you don't activate it. I said Banshees is its own typoe of channel, same goes for Edge. If Edge was just channel as you present it, then it would mean you can't move just like Fiddle can't during Passive or ult to activate it. Also Ryze's ult is channel of its own type. There are more types of channels.

GA IE Edge of Night

Velzard of Koz1 votes

Already tried it, to him Deathcap gives AP for building AP but crit somehow doesnt give more AD for building AD. Then he says Zhonyas is stronger because you can choose when to use it but Edge of Night is somehow weaker than Banshees because you have to channel it and this way choose when to use it. Doesn't really make sense to argue with him. He'll call you ignorant and downvote :D

Because it doesnt. Are you gonna pretend it does?

The difference is Edge is a out of combat channel while Zhonyas is instant cast even when in combat.

If i could press Edge active to instantly get a Spellshield like Sivir E, itd be hella better than Banshees, but i cant. The ctive gets interupted and even goes on a cooldown.

Its not the fucking same.

Not doing yourself any favors, dear.

Now you are just shitposting.

That isnt the same thing and you know it.

God knows id love if mage and ad defensive options swapped for even just a month so yall could see how blind you are.

Talon and Zed would wet themself for a AD permanant spellshield and AD Zhonyas and AD Deathcap over a dinky revive passive and, clunky spellshield active, low HP shield and "permission to complete QSS with a damaging item".

Velzard of Koz1 votes

That isnt the same thing and you know it.

How is it any different? Yeah, it actually is, Edge is better in it. If you cast Edge and get hit, it resets to cooldown. If you have Banshees charging and get hit, it resets cooldown.

God knows id love if mage and ad defensive options swapped for even just a month so yall could see how blind you are.

Yeah, except for I play both Mages and AD Assasins fo I know how to use the items and wouldn't mind it. I wouldn't mind ruining AD Assasins combo with physical shield, I wouldn't mind having Zhonyas-like chance to sway the battle in my favour even If I am CC'd and can't cast anything as it would activate automatically. I can see strengths and weaknesses in both and can use them properly.

Now you are just shitposting.

Said the person who finds active usage advantageous and disadvantageous based on bias, lol.
