The Pbe has finally made a move towards voice, but only for parties, which doenst make sense because parties could allready use discord or skype if they wanted to.

Isnt the problem with general voice chat? Why should players be made to afk type call to baron/enemy location/what lane to push.

to explain that you want bot to push and siege mid without engaging in chat is difficult.

I dont understand the argument against this as multiple online game use it and thrive.

what is your opinion for or against this?

why cant you deal with toxic voice the same way you deal with toxic text? if its such a terrible idea why do other massive online games use it?

We're already having tons of players, punished or not, who just refuses to click the Mute button to ignore the arguments & wants to talk back more shit, and Voice Chat is just an even worse version of it.

I would think that it would be ok to start a public game off auto-muted, then in the bottom right can click the microphone icon to join chat if you wanted.

I don't see how you auto-police voice chat. Voice-to-text options aren't good enough to actually dig out major toxicity right now, and even if we could, that's a huge undertaking.

This is a classic example of treating programmer's jobs as really simple and fast; you can't just immediately do something like that overnight and have it work well. If they were even considering widening to scope to general voice chat, it would take months before that were ready to launch. Personally, I don't think it would be smart to use those resources before we even see people using the party chat.
