New Karma Passive

Why? Because Karma's current passive is sort of not really a passive since it can easily just be a passive molded into Mantra. I think she could use something not overpowered but relatively beneficial.

Here's a random passive idea for Karma I randomly thought up a half hour ago. I tried to stay with her themes and think about what she could benefit from in both a solo and duo lane roles, so...I came up with this:

Karma

**Soul Lotus (Soul Flower, or another name, etc.) ** (Old Passive integrated into Mantra)

Effect: Whenever Karma uses an ability (including Mantra), she gains a stack of Enlightened. -When Enlightened reaches 5 stacks, it is automatically consumed and summons a small field of benevolent energy at Karma's location that lasts for 3.0 seconds, restoring 2% Maximum Mana in 0.5 intervals of any allied Champion that stands within it. -Enlightened stacks cannot be gained while Soul Lotus is active.

Visual FX: The passive pretty much would manifest with a radius similar to Miss Fortune's Make It Rain. In keeping with the Karma theme, a translucent 'spirit flower-shape' would appear as the center of the radius with green/pink/off-white lighting fx of wisps, sparkles, tendrils, whatever looks best covers the area of effect. Here is a very loose example: http://sherly.mobile9.com/download/media/210/neonlotus_sf529fce.jpg

Not regarding number tweaks, would this seem like a not too overpowered and fitting concept for Karma to have?

People don't want Karma to be buffed cause they don't want a support Mage that doesn't have a game changing ultimate to be useful

i had a similar idea as yours, but it was after 10 spells cast or successful autos landed. it was karma heals all allies in a small area around her (including herself) for 5% max hp..it could be called "invigorate"

i do like yours too :)..and she does need a new passive and her current moved to her ult.

I always thought it would be cool if they just brought back her old passive.

She used to gain, correct me if I'm wrong, 80- 180 bonus ability power based on her missing health.

It would be really cool combined with her W if she got something like Olaf where her ability power increase based on her missing health.

Actually I just played a game as Karma. Forget all this.

Her new passive should let her Q pierce minions. Mother of god. So many Qs blocked or just not made because the enemy team had an impenetrable wall of winnions to protect them from 99% of my kit.

The strong embrace frailty. The enlightened embrace chaos. -Order of the Lotus Karma

And hell yeah, that passive would really be nice. :D

Interesting, but not very necessary.

By intentional design, her early mana gating is very strict, because of how powerful it is. I mean, you have a champion with an ultimate that can be used in three very different ways, and she's both a powerful support and a relatively strong mage.

Also, even before they buffed its scaling, the way her passive scales into late-game was crazy and is now actually insane. Her W reduces her ult cooldown by 6-9 seconds, her Q reduces it by 2-3 per enemy champion hit (and when tagged with her R, it's not hard to hit multiple times), and it scales up with CDR, because it's a flat CD reduction instead of a base CD reduction.

40% CDR, her ult has a 21.6 second cooldown. Her Q has a 3-second cooldown, and her W has a 7.2 second cooldown.

You're basically rewarded with anywhere from 4.4-14.1% ult cooldown per tick of damage dealt with spells.

Karma has one of the most spammable ults in the game, and it's ridiculously powerful. I think I can live without tagging extra mana sustain onto her kit.

I really like this concept! Would be really interesting to see with spammy lane partners.
