If you're planning on jungling Garen, you're in for a painful surprise. Garen was a poor choice for a jungler before the jungle was made into a hellscape. I don't even want to try him now. If you're planning on bringing smite into game just to get Cinderhulk, that might be interesting though

Garen has always handled the jungle just fine, even after it was made harder, however his ganks have always been less than spectacular.

I think you're forgetting the part where you compare him to actual junglers. His clear speed is atrocious. His survivability is below par. And you mentioned enough about his ganks

Have you actually tested Garen in the jungle? His clear speed is perfectly acceptable. It's not fantastic, particularly in the first few levels, but he has very few problems clearing and does it at an acceptable rate.

No. They do not need to stack.

As funny as that would be it is totally unneeded. All Garen needs to succeed in the late game is a little work on his R and maybe increasing the amount of damage his E does on a critical instead of 50%. If it was bumped up to 75% it would increase his late game power without touching his early game at all, and most Garen's are not going to be reaching 100% crit chance anyway.

I remember season 1.

We really don't need that.

Could jungle Garen become a thing? A slightly more viable thing, I mean. If only his passive wasn't popped by jungle monsters at early levels.

I would love it if they did but they really shouldn't.

at max ramp up cinderhult will do 45 dps at levl 18, item 3068 will do a flat 43 dps at level 18, that is far to much damage. And I say this as someone who likes to play tank junglers
