Can we talk about Vladimir?

What is the current train of thought on Vladimir ? Is he being discussed, looked at?

Was disheartened to see a batch of gameplay updates for low-counterplay, binary champions without any mention of Vladimir

  • If you can't kill him or get a huge lead before item 3145 it becomes nigh-impossible to trade favorably with him for short-range champs (i.e. top lane)
  • He's incredibly safe for someone with such great late game
  • He's a chore to lane against for top lane and a good deal of mid lane too
  • The way he trades has little counterplay and tends to bully you out without much cost or skill on the Vlad's part. Q is VERY binary
  • E and R could be fine in isolation, but in context of his full kit, his damage and skills feel too "guaranteed"
  • Feels unbeatable if he's amassed a lead
  • Personally, I find him unintuitive

His character style is one where you would think, by game logic, he would be vulnerable to all-ins. He has healing/poking paradigm where it's clear that if you don't do something he will bleed you out and win the lane by attrition. In my experience, he comes out on top in all-ins, just because of how guaranteed and instantaneous his trades are. Very hard to do anything about him outside of a few key matchups, or having a long-range poke champion where the lane tends to stalemate and Vlad gets to rely on his immense scaling. He is kitable in the late game.

So yeah, in so many words, he's binary and unfun. Could I get a little @Meddler or other insight here? Anything in the works?
