Servers lately causing ping spikes

So I've played league for a long time. As everyone is aware leagues servers are questionable. It seems after every patch the servers get really bad. In my case I can't even play a game because I get over 15 ping spikes a game that goes to 300 then back down to 105. I did a command prompt ping test to riot servers and if you look at it, it's fairly inconsistent. But if I do a test anywhere else I'm fine. I honestly cannot play like that. So I'm curious if anyone else has been getting ping spikes lately.

Yea what you're experiencing is happening to me as well. I still play but it really is an inhibiting factor because so many decisions made in a game require split second action. It's hard to respond to situations when your spiking causing your actions to be delayed 2-4 seconds, and fairly frequently I might add.

I've had login problems since the patch in December.

I've tried all the remedies in Riot's connectivity issue bag-o-tricks, with no luck.

Every time I post about it, I get a canned/scripted response from Riot support referring back to said bag-o-tricks. They can't seem to acknowledge that the issue is on their side, or in how they've implemented their client login.

It's improved marginally since the January patch in that it only takes about 3 or 4 attempts to login now, but I always have to reconnect to chat. And spectator mode still doesn't work for me.

Half the time whenever I log in I have to reconnect to chat which takes about 3-5 attempts.

It's cause RIOT does not care, and the idiots are busy with LCS at the moment

Ohh yeah, since November. I've learned to live with 120-200 ms ping from the WEST COAST. What a joke.

Random spikes in ping for a ping test are not uncommon. Especially if you have dsl or cable.

Btw your test is not pinging one of Riot's game servers. Their servers are seem to be hosted on 192.64.168.0-192.64.172.254.
