Leaver Buster System Ideas

Didnt know where to post this, so i found this thread to be a suitable posting ground for it :D

If a player disconnects past the elated time of the leaverbuster, I believe that the leaverbuster should also recognize when the player reconnects.

When a player returns afterwards some things should be taken into consideration;

  1. When the player disconnected (Early/Mid/Late game)
  2. How long the disconnect to the reconnect length of time was/is.
  3. How long the game pursues.
  4. Whether the game is win, lose or surrender.

I would say what role they play as well, but most of the time that is hard to tell during champion pick, as players enjoy from time to time playing a champion that is not suited for that particular role.

I believe Mid to Late game would hurt a team a lot more than early game, because if the player makes it within a time that it's still in early game or transitioning into mid game, or even mid to late game, there is still a possibility of making a comeback, I've won games that were 4v5 from the very beginning (I being the team of 4).

I don't believe that player who return to continue playing should be punished for returning to a game taking into consideration what i stated above.

Again it's not Riot's responsibility to fix these issues but the cleints to ensure they have a stable connection. Therein lies the issue since it's your isp and not Riot's it behooves you to fix the issue. Also I I stated Riot already ahs built in leniency quite a bit actually for the real life stuff to happen. you've had it happen way more than that to the point that you keep getting punished.

The system already give them those extra chances and what you're asking for is extra chances beyond teh plenty that are already there. If after all those chances they still keep having problems 1 more chance isn't going to chagne anything but make people keep asking for more chances which is what you're doing.

You're not being punished for the occasional random thing but for repeated things whether random or not it's still on your end that it keeps happening and unless and until you fix those issues Riot's going to keep on punishing you. They've made their stance clear now it's up to you to fix the issues or don't play until you do.

Think of it like this, you buy a used car that turns out to have brake problems and yet you keep driving it. You refuse to take it into teh shop because it's inconveient for you. Your car insurance company keeps suspending your policy because you won't fix your brakes. Finally your insurance company will simply cancel your policy and reprot you to the state saying your policy is cancelled. Then the police pull you over and impound your car for driving without insurance.

That's just what's going on ehre only Riot will end up perma banning your account because you won't make an effort to fix what's obviously an issue on your end. If you havne't contacted your isp or ahd them come out and check things then you really can't complain about being punsihed.

1-3 the system alreayd does track all that and you lose points when you have issues and accrue points back for games played where you don't. The 4th doesn't matter since it's still a leave, dc, ragequit, afking etc. The roles also doesn't matter since Riot doesn't care about that but about how often it happens only that it's a repeated issue.

Riot isn't going to change becxause of people feel that they shouldn't get punished for their actions and they've stated this repeatedly. The system has built in leniency for real life stuff happening and it takes a lot to get hit by ban/punishment in the 1st place. If you get hit by it then you've used up all that built in leniency and are now in the punishment cycle until you have a clean slate and stop doing what it was that got you into trouble in the 1st place.

The reason they won't do what you suggest is because it's too easy to troll that way by simply leaving for a few minutes then coming bakc in and acting like it was an isp issue etc when they simply could've pulled their ethernet cord out, alt-f4'd etc.
